Machine Quilting with Templates Demo // Saturday, September 28th from 10-4 // FREE
Sally will show you how to do machine quilting with your own sewing machine, using templates to give your project a polished, professional look. She will have samples of things she has done and show you the fun and creative possibilities templates can offer. No registration necessary: stop by any time on Saturday!
This stylish shoulder bag is fun to make and will teach you all sorts of useful bag-making techniques. You will learn how to add a magnetic snap, make a recessed zipper & learn tips for sewing curves! Pick up our kit or experiment with your own fabrics!
Stained Glass Wall Hanging // Saturday, October 12th from 10-4 // Toby // $25
We have a number of patterns, including a Celtic cross, a hummingbird, and a whirligig design for use in this class! Choose your favorite, and then learn how to use fusible black bias tape and a double needle to create the stained glass effect. Toby has the experience and pro tips for mastering these creations.
Jelly Roll Rug – Oval // Saturday, October 19th, from 10-4 // Toby // $25
Quilters everywhere love this idea for using up scraps to create a small area rug, or grabbing a jelly roll for a quick, easy, and coordinated look! Add a roll of pre-cut cotton batting and you’re all set to have Toby teach you the techniques for creating this project!
Practice your quarter inch seams, master half square triangles, and get most of a quilt top pieced in one class! This striking star pattern makes a 53” x 68” throw that is composed almost entirely of half square triangles, making piecing a breeze.
Beginner Nine-Patch Quilt // Wednesday October 23rd & Wednesday November 6th, from 6:30PM – 8:30 PM // Sally // $35
Don’t have any previous quilting experience? This is the class for you! We’ll cover the basics of quilting, from rotary cutting, to strip piecing, to quilt top construction. You’ll learn how to make a 54” x 66” lap quilt.
A new trend from this year’s Spring Quilt market, chenille is a fun way to add texture and interest to nearly any quilt project you can imagine! Add dimension to bags, quilts, clothing, and so much more; simply stitch down the precut bias tape, throw it into the washer, and watch it fluff up all on its own! Laurel will walk you through sewing with chenille and you’ll have a cute, textured pillow by the end of class.
Pieced using half-square triangles, this beautiful tree skirt uses only four colors and a backing. By adding a flange binding with two strips of color, we avoided doing any hand-sewing on this project, making it fun, easy, and striking. Sign up for class and find yourself motivated to whip out a brand-new tree skirt before Christmas!

Already made the oval jelly roll rug? Try a different style! The Rectangle and Slice rugs use a different approach that eliminates the endless yards of fabric coils piling up in your workspace as you sew.
If you’re ready to venture into bag-making, this class is the one for you! The Everyday Tote has two inside pockets but avoids zippers and overly advanced sewing techniques – the perfect project for testing the waters. This is an excellent bag for featuring a favorite material in your stash; otherwise, we have fun kits available!

Microwave Bowl Kids Class for ages 8-12 // Saturday, December 6th from 1-4 // Laurel // $35
Do you have an 8-12 year old in your life who would like learning to sew? In this class we will teach them how to make a microwave bowl—or 2! The cost of materials is covered. Reserve one of our two sewing machines or bring your own.
Pretty and practical, this crossbody bag features 4 zipper pockets for easy organization of your items! It’s the perfect size for traveling and shopping, or it makes a great gift! Make it with cotton or cork fabric and add metal hardware for a professional look.

We have two sewing machines available for use; if you would like to reserve one, let us know upon signing up. To hold your spot, please pay at the time of registration. If you need to cancel registration, please contact us a minimum of one week before the class in order to get a refund. If the minimum number of students is not met a week before the class, it will be cancelled and a full refund will be made to registrants. Unless otherwise noted, the maximum number of students in each class is 4.
